How to Start a Blog

Hello Friends, before I tell you the step by step process how to start a blog. Let’s first know what is a blog.

What is a blog?

A blog(shortened from the phrase weblog) is basically a type of information sharing website that focuses mainly on written content.

Why do people blog?

  1. Interest in writing: Some people love writing, even today people write diaries. A blog is a kind of online diary where people write about their events.
  2. Write about the products: People want to promote their product and blogging is one of the most important ways to tell people their product.
  3. Boost online presence: Blogging helps you to boost your online presence, people regularly post blogs and share on social media to boost his or her presence online.
  4. Worldwide recognition: If you blog regularly people become your loyal readers not only in your country but you get recognition worldwide.
  5. Make money online: Blogging is one of the best ways to create a passive income, there are so many bloggers in a market who are making a good amount of money on posting blogs.

It will take approximately 30 minutes to start your blog/website. So grab a cup of coffee or juice and let’s get started.

Step 1: Choose a Blog Name

The first step is to choose a blog name. You can choose the blog topic that you like, hobbies and experiences. Choose a topic that you find interest in writing on that topic.

Try to choose your blog topic which is easy to pronounce and easy to type. Don’t choose difficult words. Whether you are choosing a food blog or travel blog etc.

After you choose a blog name take a domain extension. Suppose you choose a blog name “best food blog” so your domain extension will be “bestfoodblog.com or .net or .org”.

Step 2: Choose Your Hosting

Hosting is a web server that gets your blog online. A blog host is a company that stores all of the files for your blog and delivers them to the user when they type in your blog name.
